He runs into an old high school rival, Tracy, and the sparks fly.The story is not terribly original though well-written. I just never cared for either character. I found Tracy arrogant, quick to anger and condescending. Levi is needy, passive and self-pitying. I found I had to suspend belief on several occassions in this book. Levi, the Superbowl winning QB can put on a little glitter and a kilt and hit a popular gar bar and not be recognized I happen to know from experience that glitter is not a very good mask. He has very spectacular sex in public, takes taxis to and from the gay bar with tricks and that information is not all over town in 60 seconds Levi lives in a townhome made to look like a Barbie Dream House and none of his fellow football players ever noticed Tracy, who lusted after Levi from their first tackle on rival football teams at age 16 didn't recognize the object of his affection in bar a few years later Come on!An okay read, but not on my top list.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.Totally blew Book 1 storyline to pieces, hate I paid $4By Lora905OK, I don't always like to give spoilers, but sometimes you have to in order to give a fair honest review to explain what you did or didn't like about a story. Like many other readers, I started off with Book 1, Six Ways from Sunday. I fell in love with Bo and Dylan, the couple in that book. This book, though Totally ruined SO MUCH of that story for me! So disappointed! First of all, Dale Shannon (the New Orleans coach) supposedly knew that Levi was gay, and since no one else wanted to deal with Bo after he was outed, Dale basically pimped Levi out toward Bo (starting with putting his "only 2 gay players" in the hotel room together). That kind of made me not like Dale Shannon anymore. I don't dislike Levi for his part in that, because he already was infatuated with Bo and was lonely to boot. But Bo was painted as the ridiculously grieving boyfriend who struggled to get back into the game with the motivation of Dylan's mother. But to think that he was actually able to "move on" because he was sleeping with Levi for a year And because Levi looked like Dylan That's just awful. And then for Bo to be in the process of messing around with Levi again, after Dylan was found and brought back, in the house where Dylan and Bo lived together And then Dylan almost killing Levi So, I don't really like Bo anymore. All of this was revealed by way of flashbacks, which were a bit long, IMO. Oh and by the way, it's mentioned a couple of times that Dylan cheated with multiple guys while he was deployed, so that kind of puts me on the fence about him, too.Another story killer was Levi not only being gay, but almost full on diva/drag queen, and being a club celebrity but no one ever recognized him when his pic was splashed in the tabloids. Really He wore glitter and hair dye, not armor and hockey masks. And yes, Levi was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but in the end you can kind of understand why. I didn't have too much of a problem with Tracy. But how could he have just met and slept with Levi (AKA Livy) the previous year and not have that crazy tattoo jar his memory immediately That was unbelievable. The storyline with the court case was dashed through too quickly, and honestly could've been left out. But not only was it left in, but Levi was considering setting up a college fund for a girl who nearly ruined his whole life WTF!! NO! This book gives a HEA for Tracy and Levi's relationship, for which I'm glad, but if I hadn't bought Books 2 3 simultaneously just off the strength of Book 1, I would not be continuing this series after this major letdown. Oh well, maybe Book 3 will explain why Jude is such an a****le.15 of 16 people found the following review helpful.Kilts and Pontoons. mmmmmmBy MaryDamn it all Mercy Celeste, but I didn't think you could make me love like I loved Bo and Dylan but I adore Tracy and Levi, and everything you put them thru. Oh man I was NOT supposed to stay up this bl@@dy late reading this god@mn book. I am gonna get no sleep and have combusted on the whole idea of kilt sex.. Phft... See up in smoke. lets just talk about all the wonderful new characters plus some Dylan and Bo backstory, mmm i love learning more about those boys...Oh and thanks soooooooooo much for that teaser chapter. I can now patiently wait for the next one.. (yeah right.. Patient my Bu##). Oh and whoever is reading this review, do yourself a favour and grab the bloody book and read it...See all 82 customer reviews...
